Here’s how you could be involved: for our Milan office, we’re now seeking for a motivated and talented Operational Support Engineer to help us to provide high quality support services to our worldwide customers.

About the team

In Eidosmedia you will be surrounded and supported by other brilliant people who, like you, are passionate about technology and the result it can deliver.You will join the Continuous Operations Support Team that provides our global customers with a 24x7x365 emergency support service, needed to reach the highest service level, taking actions under emergencies and working on mission critical environments.

What you will do/learn

We’re sure you can’t wait to learn new technologies and platforms! As a Level 1 Operational Support Engineer, working on shifts, you will be the first contact point for the IT teams of our customers, when they need us to respond promptly to emergencies in production systems, taking actions to solve the problems, while managing communication and escalating the issue if needed. You will learn all the technologies used in production environments, growing in technical and professional skills, working close to other Operations and Support teams.

You are

Proactive and self-motivated – you can work independently but you perform well in a team as well.A good problem solver and communicator – you have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.You are keen to learn, grow and master new skills and resources.

On your first day, we expect you to have
  • Good knowledge of Linux Server
  • Basic knowledge of storage protocols and networking
  • Knowledge of scripting
  • Good English communications skills
It’s great (but not necessary) if you also have
  • Knowledge of application clustering (VCS, RedHat), Tomcat, web servers (Apache, NGiNX), storage platforms (NetApp, EMC)
  • Previous experience in similar position
